Post IB Mentoring Programme

100 mentors

  • Only those who set high-cognitive questions will be able to use the algorithms and not compete against them. In a world where the only constant is change, what skill students need to develop the most is to reinvent themselves and the communities around them.
  • Today more than 22,000 students in 420 international & private/state schools across 17 countries use 100 mentors to engage their students in designing their own learning journeys through interactive class video.
  • With 100 mentors, schools enable their students to become more conscious for their life-time decisions by opening up their circles of influence to include mentors from 300+ universities and 500+ companies & organizations across the world.

Future Employment

The Three Uncertainties

  • We have to prepare our students for tasks that do not exist yet.

  • We have to prepare our students for tasks in which there will be technologies that have not been invented yet.

  • We have to prepare our students to answer problems that we have not thought about yet.

Personal Skills for 2030

    • The skills that were needed in 2020 will have to be progressively replaced by new skills.

    • We can now consider what skills will be needed in 2030, but some of them we may not even be able to imagine.

    • What we have to base ourselves on is the ability to know how to adapt in a rapidly changing world.

VUCA & Work Settings

    • There is a debate on whether the world of 2020-2030 is better explained by the acronym VUCA or by the acronym BANI.

    • Whatever the case, it is necessary to prepare students for a complex and changing world with “hard skills”, “soft skills” and “core values” that allows each person to constantly adapt to a world that will change its demands and challenges.
