New learning spaces

  • Approach to education in a broad sense: pupils are being educated in open and flexible environments. The teacher-centred classes are giving way to classes where the protagonist is the students’ participation.
  • We believe that part of the learning will be done digitally, to the point of proposing a model called “flipped classroom blended”.
  • New learning environments must take into account the strengthening of both “hard skills” and “soft skills”.
  • As part of the new educational ecosystem, it is necessary to consider working on “do it with others” (DWO) projects that focus on multiple intelligences and the interrelation of disciplines and knowledge in the same way as the “latticework approach” and that must lead to meaningful and competent learning. We must also consider the so-called “maker culture” in which “learning by doing” (LBD) methodologies are essential and where students end up generating a type of product at the end of the process.
  • Learning spaces must be flexible to the extent that educational spaces are understood to be any space where students are interacting with their classmates and teachers.
  • Centres that are based on the set of skills and competences that students have to exercise in a multidisciplinary way have to promote an education based on self-management and personalisation. Open spaces where students can work individually or collectively depending on the task they are carrying out.
